My Interview Preparation for Analyst (Finance) 

1. Tell me about yourself

What's need to covered ? The three points theory :

A. A basic about your current work experince, just a slight role and organization. As I have less than 2 years of experince I need to emphasis more on my education and achivements related to that. But someone with more than 2 years of experince should emphasis more on experince and less on education. 

B. Highlighting Key Skills & Experince : 

Do remember what's a interviewer listens in you answer, he makes a lot of questions out of that rather than having a pre occupied mind ! Highlight the skills and experience relevant to your Job Description for which you are giving interview. 

C. Connecting with the Role and Responsibilities 

The more we are relevant when we tell about ourselves and it's connect with the role, we are applying for, the more we prove our relevance to the interviewer. 

What would I answer ? 

" Sure, I'm born and brought up in Delhi and I hold graduation degree in B.Com Hons with 8.43 CGPA from Delhi University, coming from Commerce with Maths background I have scored 95% in my 12th. Currently I have Qualified the Company Secretary course, & all these gives me a strong hold on Finance and Legal areas. I have around 2 years of experience from XYZ Co. providing me strong background in Research, Investment Analysis for Energy and Sustainability driven financial strategies with expertise in documentation and also within this tenure I have completed my CS training of 21 months .

During my tenure of 2 years in XYZ Co. I have worked in Debt Syndication, Private Equity and Valuations in Energy Sector for one of the world's largest organizations. I want to continue my journey in Energy Sector, combining my Research, Analysis and Presentation Skills. I have strong interest and expertise in Word Documentation and specially when it comes to designing them. Innovative Economy excites me where different Financial Strategies are build and executed, the research and learning in this sector is great and I have gained expertise in Knowledge Management of the same. I hope to get better and better day by day to be a valuable resource for your company."

The three (3) primary Financial Statements are : 

A. Income Statement (Profit and Loss Statement)

B. Balance Sheet

C. Cash Flow Statement
